Field notes from six weeks on the Northumbrian coast.

We're ten days back from the final shoot of The Returning Tide, a 62-minute feature documentary we've been making since 2024. This issue of the journal covers the whole production — the early access conversations, the two long shoots, the cut in progress, and the things we got wrong along the way.
