A quiet farmhouse in the Cotswolds
Hollow & Thyme runs silent weekends, meditation five-day intensives, and writing retreats from a restored farmhouse in the Cotswolds. Eight guests, two teachers, good food, and no phones from sundown.
Eight guests maximum. Full-board, private room, dietary needs catered on request.
Three days of silence, slow walking, meditation and shared meals — our most-requested format.
Morning meditation, afternoon writing blocks, evening readings. Led by Dr Jyoti Rana and Tom Ash.
Six days of structured meditation practice for returning retreatants and experienced practitioners.
The spring format again, with richer food and the walled garden at its late summer best.
Every teacher we work with is rooted in an established contemplative tradition — Theravada Buddhism, Iyengar yoga, Quaker silence, contemplative Christianity. What we don't do is the modern-wellness flavour of any of them.
No guru culture. No branded breathwork systems. No subscribed apps. Just the tradition itself, held lightly, and a room quiet enough to let it land.
Between them they cover every format we run. You'll always know who is leading before you book.
