Three hotels · privately held · est. 1999

The Cressida Collectiona small, particular sort of place

Three hotels — one city, one coast, one highland — privately held, quietly run, and the sum of a twenty-seven year conversation between a family and the people who return to stay.

— The three hotels —

One city, one coast, one highland.

Each property is, deliberately, small enough for the same person to be waiting at the door whether you arrive on your second stay or your twenty-second.

— Residents' List —

A private membership.

Our Residents' List is a private membership for guests who have stayed with us more than once. It is not purchasable; it is introduced. If you have stayed before — or have been introduced — please write.

What membership is

A list of around three hundred households, renewable annually. We keep it small — small enough that when a member asks for a quiet room at the Seabarrow at two hours' notice, we know which room to hold.

  1. I

    Priority reservation

The first fortnight of each month's bookings are held open for the Residents' List.

  2. II

    Chef's table access

The eight seats at each chef's table are offered first to members, in rotation.

  3. III

    Cellar and kitchen

A handful of cases of Isabel's chosen wines are offered twice a year, at house prices.

  4. IV

    A single concierge

Daphne Cressida's team answer personally — no call centre, no automated reply.

£1,200 annual fee, returnable in the first six months if the membership does not suit. One founding member, five returning, this year.
